Mind Drifter Of the Month - June 2005
At each membership meeting, members nominate their fellow Snow Drifters for acts of absentmindedness committed during the month. The winner is selected by popular vote as judged by the applause-o-meter.

This month's award goes to Craig Hada, who is becoming a regular in this feature. This time his navigation skills earned him a landslide victory. Christine made the nomiation with help from others: The last stop on last month's Santa Cruz wine tasting tour is David Bruce Winery, one of Craig's favorite. He is a long time member, and many of us has had the pleasure of sampling the wonderful David Bruce wines that Craig often brings to the cabin. The winery's location near the top of the hill makes it an ideal place to finish up a day of touring the winerys on the west side. Craig was one of the drivers followed by Christine who was behind him as he exited hwy 17. After awhile Christine noticed that the road was getting narrow and they are actually heading in the wrong direction. A call from Kate who has reached the winery some time ago confirms that Craig has led them astray. They backtracked and reach their destination 5 minutes before 6. Just in time for closing. First Runner Up: David who came to meeting with half his head covered in bandages, the results of a mountain bike crash in the parking lot. Second Runner Up: Something about Steve and rubbers. I think this is one that you have to be there to appreciate.
