Snow Drifters Events

Snow Drifters sponsors many fun events during the ski season and in the off season! Scroll down for a list of upcoming events. Events are open to members, friends and those interested in checking out the club. To request an update to this page, email Herb Ko at webmaster@snowdrifters.org. Snow Drifters Ski Club no longer accepts cash as payment for membership, race registration, event sign-up, or cabin reservations. Club members should provide a check payable to "Snow Drifters Ski Club". The club will not be responsible for cash submitted or mailed as payment. Event organizers should avoid accepting cash as payment and must deposit cash payments themselves and provide the club with a check. The only exception is payment for dinner at the General Meeting. Event photos are updated as of 10/10/07. About 200 new photos! You can find other events not sponsored by Snow Drifters at the bottom of this page. Summer Bike Rides When: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 sharp Where: Meet at Bicycle Outfitter, Los Altos Cost: sweat Contact: Craig Hada		Come spin with the fast group on Tuesdays or the easy group on Thursdays throughout the summer. Meet at the Bicycle Outfitter, 963 Fremont Ave, Los Altos. Be ready to go at 6.
May Board Meeting When: Tuesday, May 13 Where:Coco's, Sunnyvale Cost:Dinner $10-$20 (optional) Contact: Jennifer Milstein		The meeting is from 6:30-9 p.m. and all "interested members" are welcome. Please contact Jennifer so she can make the reservations.
June Club Meeting When: Tuesday, June 3 Where: Bennigan's Grill & Tavern, Santa Clara Cost: Free Entry, Dinner $10 Contact: Jennifer Milstein		Come by our general meeting at 7:30 p.m. at our new location at Bennigan's in Santa Clara. We have a social hour starting at 6:30 to chat and hear about what everybody's been up to. At the meeting, 7:30, we'll talk about upcoming events, and we'll end by crowning our "Mind-drifter" for the month. See you there. Get directions to Bennigan's.
Summer BBQ in the Park When: Tuesday, June 17, 7pm Where: Memorial Park, Cupertino Cost: $5, BYOB Contact: Laura Julyan		Join us for our summer monthly bbq. Bring your drink and $5 and enjoy the great weather and company. We'll supply the food. Memorial Park is on Stevens Creek Blvd near the Northeast corner of Hwy 85 and Stevens Creek. Look for us at the tables near the tennis courts.
Whitewater Rafting When: Aug 2 Where: American River, middle fork Cost: $160 Contact: Rene		Back by popular demank,our 2nd annual Whitewater rafting trip is set up for Sat. Aug 2nd. Have a look at the American Whitewater Expeditions website for more info. We will be rafting 18 miles on the Middle Fork of the American River. The Middle Fork is dam controlled so we will have great class III&IV rapids with nice warm weather and warmer water going in August. The cost is appox. 160.00 for a whole day of rafting with a nice beachside lunch, 2 nights camping which includes the use of thick foam sleeping pads for everyone. Contact Rene ASAP with your $80 deposit.

Far West Ski Association Trips When: Various Where: Various Cost: Listed per Event		Snow Drifters ski club is a part of the Farwest Ski Association. The FWSA offers many different events and trips throughout the year. This year they have trips to Whistler and China. Check out their travel page to see what's going on.
