New Years
It's an old Snow Drifters custom to start the New Years the best way possible, on the ski slope. From there, it's all downhill.

Snowball
One of the sure signs of winter is the annual Snowball. A fundraiser put on by the Bay Area Council to raise money for the club events.

Halloween
The Snow Drifters got together with the dive club, as we do quite often, for a rambunctious Halloween party.

Labor Day Weekend
On Labor Day, the Snow Drifters headed up to Tahoe when they heard that the snow was already falling. While skiing wasn't an option, the weather was great for bicycling.

Hiking in Rancho San Antonio, Saturday August 5th, 2000
Mary Beth Jensen led a hike to the top of the PG&E trail in Rancho San Antonio. Everyone was up for a fast paced hike before the day heated up so we headed off past the old farm. Just past the farm we saw some wild deer before picking up the meadow trail. With clear blue sky above we finallyarrived at the top where the high meadow and PG&E trails meet. The trail follows the side of the ridge and winds in and out of the trees as it meanders up and down towards the valley floor. As we neared the bottom we passed a trough filled with water for horses with a school of goldfish swimming around inside. Finally, after one last steep drop, we all made it back to our cars safe and sound to enjoy the rest of the day after a great workout.
